The village is located in the beautiful fertile valley of Knežopolje, surrounded by the slopes of the mountain Kozara. It has a unique cultural and historical heritage, especially from the Second World War, since the place was the center of the liberated territory under the partisan movement. For a long time, it was recognizable for its successful agricultural production and cooperation practice (the first cooperative founded in BiH), which is stagnating today.  The new infrastructure of Smart Village  takes care to preserve its authenticity, but make it more interesting with its infrastructure – trails, gardens, demo grounds and buildings. In terms of telecommunication infrastructure, an optical cable passes through the village of Knezica.
